How to: Convert your older business plan to BizPlanBuilder 2004

The new BizPlanBuilder 2004 (v9) is built on a different programming application than previous versions.


Updating the Narrative Text

It is easiest to open the earlier versions and simply cut & paste the text from each section into the corresponding section of BizPlanBuilder 2004 (v9) -- the new system manages MS Word and Excel files. For example, copy the Market Analysis section, in its entirety, into the Market Analysis section of BizPlanBuilder 2004 (v9)You may want to paste it below the sample text provided in the new BizPlanBuilder 2004 (v9), then edit and blend the text together to take advantage of the revised text in the new version.


Updating the Financial Models

These are completely new in BizPlanBuilder 2004 (v9), and you must re-enter your numbers. However, since this system has been overhauled, you will likely find that is is easier to use and revise than any previous version.
