How to... Share files with yourself

We've designed BizPlanBuilder to enable you to share files between your Office desktop, Home PC and your laptop (or however you have it configured).

1) Install BizPlanBuilder on your systems using the same username and password.
(Since you are the only one editing, there is no worry about overwriting your work -- if you were collaborating with others, the separate serial numbers enable check-out / check-in and prevent another person from overwriting your work.)

2) From one of your PCs...
Click the Start button on your desktop
Then click My Computer
Then double-click to open the Shared Documents folder

3) Drag the "JIAN Documents" folder to a network accessible folder, your server, web-based folder, or thumb drive. You want to have this 'data' folder in a place which can be accessed by your other PCs.

4) On ALL of your PCs, click Change and locate the "JIAN Documents" folder through your network to the above Shared Path.
(If it does not readily appear, make sure that the folder is accessible via your Windows network. (See "How to... Share Your Business Plan With Others")

Click OK.

(From now on, when you open BizPlanBuilder from any of your PCs, it will automatically open your active documents.)
Click Sign In.

On the, "Let's Get Started on Your Plan" page, click Open Previous Projects.
The plans from your Desktop PC should appear here.
Click on the desired plan, then click OK to open.
