EmployeeManualMaker

Opening the EmployeeManualMaker documents in WordPerfect 6.x for Windows.

WordPerfect is known for having difficulty with a feature called "Styles". Styles are formatted text in your document. For example; define the font (color, size, bold, italic), set the paragraph width, double-spacing, etc.

The EmployeeManualMaker "Manual" file is heavily formatted document with many various Styles used. It is because of this that WordPerfect locks up on you. The EmployeeManualMaker is evidently not fully compatible with WordPerfect 6.x. It is for this reason that you are eligible for a refund if you would like to return the product to us. If you really want to make this product work for you there are a couple of things that you could do to get around this problem:

1. After you pull the file up in WordPerfect, go to the EDIT menu and "Select All". Then from the EDIT menu to choose CUT. Open "Note Pad" or "WordPad". From the EDIT menu, choose "Paste". This should abandon all the Styles used in our file.

When concluding the process above, go back into WordPerfect again start a New Untitled document. Go to the EDIT menu and choose PASTE.

You can now continue your WordPerfect session with out the formatting Styles from our document.

2. Once you have opened the file in WordPerfect, go to the FILE menu to SAVE AS. From the "List files of Type" box at the bottom of the SAVE AS window choose "ASCII" or "Text". You can also take this opportunity to change the name of the file, in order to keep the original intact if you ever need to refer back to it again.

The process of saving this file as a ASCII or Text file will abandon all the styles that where used in the EmployeeManualMaker.
