Problem: "hanging" or "locking-up" during install
Delete the JIANEFB directory you're installing to, and reboot your PC without loading any device drivers. Make sure no other programs are loaded when you start Windows and you have no other programs running in the background, like MS Word, E-Mail, a virus program, or a third-party screen saver. Then reinstall EmployeeFileBuilder.
Another option is to perform a System Restore and restore back to a date when EmployeeFileBuilder was working properly.
Windows Updates
Please be sure you have all of the latest Windows Service Packs installed... this makes world of difference!
(Windows 2000 has 3, XP has 1)
They seem to enable the newer operating systems to run programs written from previous operating systems.
Click your START button (on your desktop)
Click "Windows Updates" (or visit www.microsoft.com -- look for 'downloads')
